Bracell trainees placed first, second and third in the internship category and the company took first place in the “Innovative Company” category
Innovative projects developed by Bracell interns in Bahia won the top three positions in the IEL Talent Award, in the “Internship” category. The award is a recognition given by the Brazilian National Industry Confederation (CNI, in Portuguese acronym) through its institute called Euvaldo Lodi.
Bracell placed first in the “Innovative Company” category, among large companies. The award ceremony took place on September 22nd, in the auditorium of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia (Fieb, in Portuguese acronym), in Salvador. The award featured 41 finalists in the “Learning”, “Internship” and “Innovate Talents” categories. The project presented by Caio Ítalo de Oliveira Santos, from the company’s Planning sector, was selected to compete in the national stage, in São Paulo, on October 26th.
Caio won first place with the “Smart Form for the Wildlife Sighting Program”. Marlon Kin Gin Pereira dos Santos, from the Industrial Quality Laboratory, placed second with the “Integrative Training Program”, which evaluates all the steps necessary to qualify employees to work in the laboratories. Elisiane Dantas da Conceição, from the Environment area, placed third with the “M- Radi” project, aimed at monitoring the regeneration of degraded areas using images.
“Winning this award represents a significant milestone in my professional career because it rewards innovation and dedication. With the help of mentors, I was able to contribute to the improvement of the Wildlife Sighting Program, aligning it with a fundamental value of Bracell: continuous improvement”, says Caio, adding that the development of the work encouraged him to explore new technologies and to think creatively.
Marlon never imagined that the internship project would receive such recognition. “When solving the first problem, I came across many others – sometimes resulting from the solution, sometimes discovered in the progress of stages – and, as a result, I had to developed skills I believed I had complete control over. And this is not just my achievement, but that of the entire Bracell’s laboratory team”, he highlights.
Elisiane said that M- Radi would not have been a success without the support of the company’s professionals: “The award gives a dimension of how important the project is for the company and the environment, considering that we will now have total control of our areas undergoing natural regeneration”. According to her, M- Radi is the beginning of greater possibilities and “Bracell provides an incentive for innovation and entrepreneurship”.
Carolina Linhares, Organizational Development Manager at Bracell, highlights that investing in operational excellence is one of the company’s competitive differentiators. “One of the support levers for a business as specialized as ours is to provide opportunities for young people, structuring and maximizing their full potential within the Gateway programs. This award gives us the certainty that we are on the right path”, he highlights. The company also invests in research and innovation as a way to have an increasingly sustainable operation, aimed at environmental protection, as highlighted by Priscilla Reuter , Training and Development coordinator at Bracell. “We strive to strengthen innovation, through research, in all its stages, especially in the training of our generation. Therefore, recognition with the IEL Talent Award further strengthens this commitment to sustainable development”, she concludes.
